Legend Film Review!
Coming in at 131 minutes, Legend is Tom Hardy's new film focussing on the life of the Kray twins. The Kray's (in)famously ran London in the 1960's, and mixed with the rich and famous.
The CGI in this film is amazing. Hardy's acting, for me, was infallible. Everything from the difference in the voice to the difference in posture was meticulously thought out from Hardy, and I really enjoyed the characters separately.
I liked the film, and desperately wanted to see the glitz and glamour of the Krays. I wanted to see why they were so feared, how they kept the police at bay (even before the blackmail) and how they managed to get in to the circles of the famous.
However, we saw a lot of Reggie's late wife, Frances, and how they got together. I felt like this was a main focus in the film, and though it was interesting seeing the love story blossom, it didn't feel as though it was vital to the film.
I loved watching Ronnie, how unpredictable he was, how he interacted with people. I would've liked to have seen this more.
It definitely is a movie worth watching, but I really wanted more. I feel like it introduced some themes (American Mafia) but we didn't really see where that went, or why it was important to see.
I wanted more of Ronnie, I wanted to learn more about this man who was "very interesting".

I watched this film on Sunday and I agree with everything you've said! I loved Ronnie as character, and what we saw was brilliant but like you said I wish they focused more on the brothers' stories rather than the Francis and Reggie story, because I think the parts where we saw the brothers together were more interesting and important. But even still, it was an incredible film and Tom Hardy was especially brilliant in this! Definitely my favourite acting role(s) that he's done! I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
