The Great British Bucket List...

So, after a late night discussion with Luke, we decided to sort a 2015 "Bucket List" of places in this great country that we'd like to go to. I read a lot of generic things on many lists, but feel like I want to see a mix of both modern beauty but also the natural beauty.

Despite having lived in England my whole life, I'm not especially well travelled. I've been to London around 5 times, but haven't been to the most obvious places. I've been to Birmingham, simply for the shopping facilities. Other than that, I have never really taken a moment to look at the natural beauty of my country, or the tourist spots that people from all over the world travel to, just to see. I think this is rather lazy.

We've come up with a short list of things we will achieve in 2015. Some are pretty self explanatory but some require a bit more information as they may seem a bit random. Let' s Go!

1.) Visit Stonehenge.
Like seriously, this is about 2 hours away from my house. WHY HAVE I NEVER BEEN??
Me and Luke are hopefully planning to go to this on Sunday, a kind of kick start to our bucket list.

2.) Visit Warwick Castle.

3.) Spend a day in Stratford upon Avon.
The birth place of Shakespeare for goodness sake! I have actually visited here, but Luke hasn't so I thought he might find this interesting.

4.) Visit "Giants Causeway"
This is in Ireland and though I have been to Ireland before, we didn't visit here. This kind of scenery is right up Luke's street, and so I thought I had to add it to the list!

5.) Go on the London Eye (I'm so generic and boring haha)

6.) Visit Lake Windermere. Another beautiful part of this country.
7.) Climb Mount Snowden.

8.) Climb Ben Nevis.

9.) Do a "Wainwright" walk in the Lake District.

10.) Go on the Beatles tour in Liverpool!
Need I say anymore?

11.) Visit the Harry Potter studios!
I've wanted to go in so long, practically everyone I know has been!

12.) Visit the National History Museum in London.

13.) Visit the Isle of Man.

14.) Go to a football match...
This is definitely Luke's choice, I have literally no interest in doing this, but will hopefully end up enjoying it! We will either see Liverpool FC (Luke's team), Aston Villa (My families team) or Northampton town FC (My hometown team). I'm not bothered for any of them tehe.

15.) Go to a comedy club.

16.) Visit Madame Tussauds in London.

17.) Go to the sea life centre in Birmingham.
I have been many a time, but this is probably one of my favourite places ever! I absolutely adore sea life and could spend many hours here, so it had to be on the list!

18.) Visit the Tate Modern Gallery.

19.) Cadbury world!
As childish as this may sound, I actually never got to go as a child, and I used to feel so jealous of all the other children! So basically I begged Luke and he said yes!

*Now, I must first disclaim that none of these photos are my own, they were all found on google. I used them simply because I think they are all really beautiful photographs.*

Now I know that there are many more treasures in this beautiful country, so I'd love to hear your ideas. Even if you've never been to England but there's something you've always found beautiful. Or maybe you live in a beautiful place, I'd love to know the area. I want more undiscovered gems of great british beauty!

Thanks for taking the time.
Eleanor Rose
